Default comments on Ed's new mls application

Hey Guy's although their data shuttle was a big pain to deal with we finally got Ed's custom IDX solution working properly - I posted it at http://www.edkirkland.com/idx_listings.html

I would love comments or suggestions on how to make this better.
Thanks
Morgan

It doesn't seem very user friendly. The frames are frustrating and the page never ends when scrolling down. Sorry if that sounds harsh.

No no that's ok - I was actually just messing with the frames probably when you looked Lol - I have fixed the frame issue (Somewhat) but still got some kinks

As far as the search funtionality and the layout of the listings pages what do you think? Specifically these pages http://www.real-estate-optimization....=153354&struc=

I was just realizing I need to paginate results so that we dont end up with the scrolling pages of death.

I hadn't checked the listing page. That looks really nice and clean. The photo gallery is sweet too. I wish my IDX had multiple pictures so I could do that.
The frames are gone on the main page, so much better. I think it would look better to have less listings on the main page with a small listing picture next to each listing. It would get people more interested in the listings. It would also allow you to keep the page size down if you just had 10 listings per page, and increase his page count considerably. I may be partial because that is how my search is set up.

Don't forget to add the broker reciprocity logo and disclaimer on each listing! Required by the NAR National Assoc. of Realtors if displaying other broker's listings through IDX feeds.

I agree with Kyle completely. My sites are also set up this way with 15 per page and a small photo. This is just the listings page. Much cleaner and neater looking without so much scrolling. I'm manually setting up my third site the same way (for my Listings page).

My VOW shows 10 listings per page with pics, 2 per row. On my VOW there are no disclaimers at all, so maybe it's different for IDX.

The individual listings look great on Ed's site but I also did not care for the main listings page (I also need my reading glasses to read much of anything, especially the tabs & banner information).

I may be wrong about this being required by N.A.R. and the MLS. I know my local board of Realtors requires it. I could have sworn it was a N.A.R. rule but I can't find any proof of that claim.
Let me restate what I said in a better way. I would advise that anyone showing another broker's listing make sure that you are following all the rules.
