Hello,

I've implemented VieleRETS 1.1.6 along with Open-Realty 2.4.1. Open-Realty was an install from Fantastico, even though I can install it from scratch and the newest version.

I got VieleRETS connected to our RETS server, no problems (locally and on the server). The issue is trying to setup the Target infomation.

I am able to point VieleRETS to Open-Realty, but get stuck here:

Open-Realty Metadata Not Found

How can I get past this? Has anyone else ever run into this issue? What's the solve, if I might ask.

VieleRETS seems like one of the best solutions out there, as well as Open-Realty. If someone else has a better solution, please let me know. I'm open to the answer to that "magic question".

That could be because the version of OR is not set properly. In the RETS downloader set to 1.5 and that should do. Keep just the fields you want to display and make sure you take out the ones which you don't use to keep the number of rows in the databse smaller.

Well, that might be the issue. I'll have the check. For now, I'm working on trying to at least download all of the listings into a CSV file. Just as a test, ya know... Have another question in this category. Perhaps you can help?!

The answer to this was actually a little more simple than I would have liked it to be...

The version of VieleRETS I was using, 1.1.6, is in BETA. I only found that in a little BLURB somewhere, buried in documentation. After reading for HOURS, I realized that 1.1.5 is the Production version and is stable.

After returning to that version, everything is working flawlessly.

Now, to update these fields.... Ahhh... The tedium...

And it should be duly noted that I was amazingly DISRESPECTED for asking the same question on the Open-Realty forum! A simple question that I thought could help out a BUNCH of future coders looking to find the answer, and I was treated like a 5 year old! I was told "this isn't our problem", in not so many words.

How mature...

I know that THIS SITE should have had the biggest ability to say something like that... But it's not about the product! It's about the HELP! And that's why I think I like it here the best!
