Default Question about Backlinks

I was wondering if anyone has used or heard of backlinks.com. I am attempting to build up as much "link juice" as possible for my blog, and I wanted to see how that was.

If anyone has any other ideas or comments on this, I would love to hear them!

With Matt Cutts talking about paid links being a big no no. I would not recomend using this service unless you want a penalty.

Your best bet is blogging on Active Rain, Rew Blogs and networking to build contextual links.

Avoid those services.

Thanks Eric! I appreciate it! I want to get the backlinks for my blog, and I have several forums that I post and I am extremely active (AR being one of them). I just wanted to see if there was a "quick and easy" approach to this, but as always it is most likely a big "no".

Any particular reason for that?

As Eric said Google is targeting companies & sites that sell links. Your blog may not get a direct penalty but the links you buy would have their juice removed and not pass any PR. If you are buying them for traffic that's one thing but be careful about using sites like this for SEO value.

Google is targeting the brokers first since they have a sign outside their door. Companies like TLA and backlinks can't guarantee results. You may get a slight boost but it's not a long term strategy.

Like Eric said use blogs! Blogging is a great way to generate links to your websites. But I would also suggest article submissions, press releases and forum posting.

Thanks! That definitely helps! The primary purpose is for SEO (I get a good amount of traffic in my opinion). I guess it comes down to patience, and I am definitely not good at that.

Thanks, Tony! I appreciate the help with that one! I am definitely learning everyday when it comes to SEO, so thanks everyone!

I post comments on blogs, and I blog all the time (it's like another full time job). With regard to the article submission, is it me writing the content for that, or is it me posting other news source's content for the public....a little confused there.
