Just wanted to check in and see what success stories anybody has had being the featured agent for their State? Can anyone say that they have gotten their money worth on the $20.00 a month fee?

I haven't looked recently but was getting about 15 visits/month from it.....can't say any other directory pushed anywhere close to that!

So do I understand this correctly, you can register for a particular city for free, but if you pay for it($10.00 per month), then no other Realtor can be in that city? Is that the benefit to register as a featured Realtor for a particular city? And then if you register for the featured agent for the State, then your profile comes up for every city that a user clicks on for that state?

No that is not correct - in the directory there are free spots (Which are near the bottom of the page (Under the blog posts), and you can apply for only one city at no cost) - if multiple cities (Past your first) must be purchased.

Now if you DO purchase the featured spot - your listing is the very first thing seen on the page (Guaranteeing you get seen) also, the featured spots are designed in such a way as to make them stand out (Nice blue box, etc) You still get a great link, but ever more important, you ensure you are given the best chance to be the Realtor contacted via the directory. Also, if you purchase the featured spot (Paid yearly) you lock out your competition, meaning you have first right of refusal when it is time to renew, so you own the exclusivity to that spot.

In terms of featured state - you are shown in the featured state position, not on every city - just the state.

Incidentally - for reference, the Michigan state page has seen just under 3000 unique visitors over the past year - So you would be exposed to that many potential customers (Granted some are agents looking at the directory) AND you get a great link to your website.

As long as your submissions contain unique write ups, I don't see why not - you handle that submission via the add directory listing link in your REW blog when logged in.
