Question MSN Indexing

I used to have good placement in MSN search but it dropped - like outta site.

Just started using their Webmaster Tools, verified the site, added a sitemap xml file and pinged it. I'm hoping this is going to make a difference.

Has anyone else been successful using their tools, in regaining/improving placement?

You have separate sites for different search engines? I guess it's not a bad idea but is it duplicate content? I would expect that eventually the sites would be indexed in all major search engines unless you're using webmaster tools on each of them to remove?

separate sites and separate content.. some overlaps, but not much. the yahoo folks are a lot less critical about what links you have so i tend to exchange and gather links more for a quantity for them and then for my google site I only allow REW to do links for me.

hicrc, when have you noticed that you don't have a good rank ? I mean from that moment you should wait one, two weeks before making any changes on the site, it might be something temporarily

I never really had *great* placement in MSN, just decent, usually something in top 10. Never really paid it much attention but it's dropped further and I want to work on it.

Yes, they have a set of webmaster tools now. You can sign up, provide a site map, but it's very limited, not at all like Google's.
