I have noticed I have a much more difficult time ranking for condo or condos than for real estate which surprises me. A friends site which targets FL Real Estate, FL Condos, and FL MLS ranks nicely for the Real Estate and MLS terms, but not for the Condos term.
Anybody else have this problem? Should text be in the singular or plural? I always thought the way I would search would be the plural. Any suggestions or thoughts dealing with the terms condo or condos?

Hey Cal:
I notice that with G**gle, but I do fine with yahoo/msn, etc. I think you should target both singular and plural. |

Condo(s) and townhome(s) can be good terms to work on for SEO though from my experience...

It all depends on how competitive the terms are in a specific market, if you are in new york, then condos are probably quite a bit more competitive than in other markets. In Florida, I would imagine the more general "real estate" would be more competitive. However, you really need to look at your analytics data to decide which is the better term for you, if you are focused on selling condos, they you will probably have a higher conversion rate for condo based keywords, if you are more general, then "real estate" related keywords are probably more valuable. Don't make the mistake of just going for the highest traffic term, niche keywords can be much more valuable.

I bet you will rank well for "Condos" if you blog about them just as though you are recreating your sites page about condos and if relevant link back to the page. Try it and see the power of the REW blog. It will also help you build authority to that page. Use both the singular and plural forms as different H Tags.
