Default Problem with image div you created

I've just started to work with the static image div for my standard and wide pages. When I layout a table and put it below the div I get the following issues.

1) IE 6.0: the div is a couple of pixels to the left and a gap between the div and the table. Also gap between divs if I put one adjacent the other(IE 6.0)

2) Firefox: It aligns correctly but slides underneath.

In the cms, it looks just the way I want it.

I have screen shots here.
http://dev14.rewtemplates.com/help.php

Example of the problem. check in multiple browsers
http://dev14.rewtemplates.com/portla...eal-estate.php

I only have these two browsers so I'm not sure about other browsers.

Thank You,
JimC

Hi Jim,
#static-img can only be used once in each page, please don't put two of them on the same page, because it will mess up the page.

You put
<div id="static-img"><img src="/images/strip.jpg" /></div><div id="static-img"><img src="/images/easternprom.jpg" /></div>
in the cms, which won't work.

I hope this help.

Hello Ying,

I have removed the second div. It still doesn't correct the problem in Firefox or position the div correctly on IE. See the example here http://dev14.rewtemplates.com/help.php

You can also see at http://dev14.rewtemplates.com/portla...eal-estate.php
The image is pulled too far left in IE 6.0 (Take a look at this in firefox.)

The div doesn't snub up against the table. There looks to be a padding gap.

Hi Jim,
I see what you mean. I have fixed the image too far left problem. However, it should have a big gap in between the image and text. It is an image at the slideshow place, and if I don't leave a big gap there, your text will be right next to it which would look weird. When you are in home page http://dev14.rewtemplates.com/ , you can see the gap in between the image and the text below. If you just want an image to be closed to the text, you shouldn't use the slideshow image id "#static-img". I hope this help.

Thank you for fixing the shift to the left. I assume your still working on the firefox problem.

My thought on the gap was to control it using tables since I didn't have control of the css, but we can leave as is.
