My site has been down for about 12 hours now. Has anyone with good rankings had this happen, and how much did it effect your rankings?

Yes, I have had my website go down many times. It stinks.

Contact your Host ASAP and let them know. It might not be just your website.

Your site is coming up for me now. As for your site being down affecting your rankings, it really depends on if your site was crawled while it was down.

Even so, I've seen sites keep their rankings even though they were down and the SERPS even displayed the error message as the title/snippet.

If your site does get docked, it will probably regain it's original rankings after a few days.

It shouldnt have any impact unless the search engines happen to check on your site at the time it is down...then I believe you will be impacted otherwise, it is a problem for those trying to access your site
