Puurle.com Social Bookmarking that isn't anti social

A Realtor buddy of mine just sent me a PM and said he had set up a social bookmarking site for any realtors that want a "real estate" specific place to do their "sphinning" as it were. You will see a lot of these pligg clones out there - but they can be a really great place to share information and if they do get picked up in terms of authority, then the links they provide can be very valuable.

For now though - check out www.puurple.com

(Warning it is actually purple)

Pretty damn good link bait if you ask me. I'd do something to control it or it could get pretty spammy pretty quickly. Soon you'll have every Realtor in the country posting their spam left and right. I've got to run right now, I've got some posting to do on a new puurple colored site

I doubt it will be become "spammy", coastal, the buddy is a good guy. I also doubt it's a linkbait ploy, but an outlet to do what's desired without the bias and stuffing that angry people resort to with other social sites.
We'll see though, will be fun to watch it evolve.

EBA- I would agree with that..

I was aware of the project as it evolved and I think it shows some creativity and promise. Social media (bookmarking, etc), done correctly is a great way get attention for posts and items of interest.

I'd agree with Webmaster that there are a LOT of clones out there, BUT an industry specific one for real estate is pretty cool in my book.

There is a general distaste for anything commercial or real estate on most bigger social bookmarking sites. I posted something earlier up there...I'd like to see it do well...

Also...you know what I think it needs? Maybe a fun title for votes--Digg has Dugg and Buried. Sphinn has Spunn. I am trying to think of an equivalent for Puurple...
