Hey gang,
I'm thinking of creating school district pages that are within the county where I work. There are about 15 school districts in my county. I wanted to create a separate page for each school district and include available real estate for sale, broken down by home type. Plus local information within that school district. My question is, which keywords would you use for these type of pages? If any of you have optimized for school district pages, please share your experience. For example, one of the school districts that I serve is called Centennial School District. The keywords that I was thinking of for Centennial School District are: - centennial school district real estate - homes for sale in centennial school district Would you use any others? I look forward to your feedback.

Menu name - Centennial School District (if it will fit without wrapping) Page Name - centennial school district real estate and homes in "City" Then body text using both of your phrases: There is a great selection of homes for sale in centennial school district ..... .............If you are looking for centennial school district real estate, contact ...... This should be a fairly easy one for you to dominate. I don't know how much traffic you will get, but those that get there with that long tail and register will probably be yours forever.

Thanks for the feedback.
I wonder, those agents who do have these pages, what kind of traffic are they seeing. I did a search for 'centennial school district real estate' and I've seen zero agent pages. Perhaps people are not searching for these terms. Hmmm..?

I doubt this will help but...
While I don't optimize for, or separate our school pages, I do notice quite a few hits a month (which is relative) on these pages. One day, I may expand these into districts for the customers, but I still have a few other things to do before hand.

My goal, over the course of 2008, is to create one to two additional landing pages per week optimized for specific niche markets. I'd love to talk with anyone out there that is doing something similar and what they've found the best way to target keywords that have good volume. By the way...does anyone have the link for the google tool to check keyword volume?

[quote=keenjosh;167627]This got me thinking about other relevant sources from analytics. Aside from the obvious "city real estate", "neighborhood real estate", "city mls" searches what are other folks finding to be beneficial in their market?QUOTE]
Not sure if you use "city houses for sale" and it's different variations. Every agent seems to go after "city homes" .The term Houses is way less competitive and fair traffic. Also, by just adding the line"city condos for sale" on any city real estate page seems to rank that page for condos also. It has to be a less competitive city (not Atlanta, Charlotte etc) I haven't gotten around to seoing for schools yet....still so many other terms that are more targeted to play around with.. |
