How did I do?
Trying to keep with the theme "do something, even if not perfected". It served me well with investing and life in general, maybe taking the plunge is the way to go with blogs too. Couple of questions - 1) In REW blog settings: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...kend/settings/ What is the REW Forum ID supposed to be? 2) Any suggestions for the advanced blog options? Tags, Description, Keywords, Related Links? Link to post would be fine. 3) I put a link to my web (oh the shame...), is that so bad? I thought it was relevant. Also any tips would be welcome. I am going to attempt the National blog to local blog cascade next.

Incidentally, I don't think there is anything wrong with the way you have embedded a hyperlink on http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...ott/4289/show/ which is the one I am assuming you were talking about - in fact for reader consistency I might hyperlinked both neighborhoods being mentioned.
When there is a problem with outbound linking is when it is excessive and irrelevant or deceptive to your reads (read does not add value) - for instance, someone randomly hyperlinking "real estate" back to their website when they say they are going to a "real estate convention" the user would naturally anticipate that link would go to the conventions website, not to the Realtors - as moderators, we know that person only tried to squeak that extra link in there just for the juice and anchor text - those are the things that get you flagged for spam - you are doing well Scott, and you haven't just focused on (What will fly at REW Blogs) you actually made some great points for "your" readership target for the post, and that being people having a hard time getting their listings sold in the Prescott Market - your point about having access to multiple associations for extra coverage is a great one, and probably one sellers don't take into consideration (And they should) so that is the sort of post that might grab you another listing or two. As a seller who can't get their property sold, show me you do something different, and explain it to me so that I can see the benefit, and I am your new listing client ![]()

The one thing it is missing (Although I cannot think of what to add for it) is a picture or two. Blog readers love to see pictures embedded in blogs - Something like this

Ok, added wonderful Prescott, AZ photo. Thanks much for feedback on content. I follow this guy quite a bit, trying to learn a thing or two:
http://www.bloodhoundrealty.com/Bloo...log/?author=15 Branding, content is more important then "trick SEs with SEO". So, I will just blog away, make a link or two, and have fun. Blogging is like working out, no pain, no gain, right?
