Which has more power, blog post or blog page?
Basically I'm asking if a page in a blog has as much SEO power as a post?

Coastal;
I view them as equal. In the eyes of Google a web page is a web page. the only difference is that posts move from the index page to their own page... Best Eric

The only thing I would add to that would be how your internal linking structure is set up. For many, this is why a page will "stick" in the SE index longer - because a page is linked to from all other pages including each "blog post page". There are ways to index all of your posts on every page, like a page. Then they would all be equal. For an example, view the blog in my signature and scroll down and look at the right navigation. Those are all of the posts and they show up on all posts and all pages helping them stay indexed, like a page.

Thanks for the answers. This is good to know. I was debating whether to break certain topics off into pages but was afraid of loosing some of the juice that blog articles seem to have.
What is the reason that a blog post seems to rank significantly quicker than a normal well optimized web page? For sites in the future I may just build a blog with an idx built into it since they seem to rank so well.
