Default Advertising your webpage on your car.

Thinking about just adding the webpage on the back window in white vinyl. No contact info or anything else.

Anyone done this or had any success with it? Figure if I keep it short it just might stick in peoples minds.

What about liability issues?

Anyone?

I use it in print advertising, but the most the wife will let me get away with is feeder sites’ URLs (only) on the boat. I think I have her talked into one of these for the car though: http://www.iredtags.com/. Just the URL piques curiosity for most geeks and geeks have money. That's why a well branded, explanatory URL is way more important than a few keywords, unless they happen to do the job well.

If Google ever loses my site for a few months, I have the intricate artwork for a URL-only billboard all ready to go.

OMG, that really made me LOL!

I've read about others that have done this but I just don't see how people could remember an url, no matter how easy, while driving. I guess if the car is parked and someone has a pen & paper...

I'd be afraid of getting rear-ended if someone was trying to read your back window while driving & you had to make a stop.

Funny you mention parking lot.

Everyone in my family is a realtor, appraiser or broker. Mother, Aunt, step-father, Wife, Sister etc.

My mother was driving through a home depot parking lot and had some guy literally cut her off, jumped out of the car and wrote down her info. Said he's gone through two other brokers that were dishonest and she looked like an honest person (flirt). The man is still giving referrals and they are good friends.

Seems like I answered my own question but I wanted to see if anyone else got that phone call that mentioned a similar ad.

I have yet to get a deal off my website. When that day comes I will be very happy.

If anything, I suppose it will make me a better driver knowing my contact info is on the back of my car. .

Patience I guess..since I've gotten my site, I've probably closed two good deals
on my site. I could have closed 10 or more if I wasn't taking a vacation here and there...So now I'm just referring lot's of my leads to other agents...hopefully that works. Try google adwords ,seems to work good for me .
but pick a couple of the hot keywords and work on that or you might end up broke with many

I have never gone to ANY site I have seen on the back of a car or truck. Sounds bad and I bet it couldnt hurt, but i doubt it will help...much.

I agree.

I guess it depends on if you happen to be in the market when you see the sign. If I get any leads off the sign i'll be sure to bump this thread

One thing is for sure, the domain name needs to be very short and memorable.
Nobody is going to be willing to fumble for a pen while driving.
