Hi All,
After being on the forum for nearly 3 years, I'm very close to releasing my REW Custom that I've been working on for the last 2 months. Please see below: dev66 (dot) rewdev (dot) com We're doing a little final polishing on the site and currently skinning the blog to match but all the major layout, design, & functionality work is done so I'm hoping to release it in the next week or two. Feedback is appreciated! |

The centered text on the homepage body content does not look good at all, it should left aligned.
Footer links, to "red on red" consider making them more visible (Perhaps a realliving orange << I can explain this one better if necessary) I "hope" that you will be making use of the library of divs available to spruce up and organize written content "important" etc it would be a shame if all that design top left and right were not supported with well laid out and organized content. I really don't like the agent offline thing being so high up (I am sure it reads online if you are online) I know you have used the click to talk on your old site, does it perform well for you? I would probably make your phone numbers bigger (There is a little room left on the right) Under your featured listing, I would change "read more" to "view listing" (Read more is already used for blog posts) Not to be negative, I think it looks great! I just want to make sure we tweak every little bit so this thing can hit the ground running for you ![]()

Nice design. I am not generally a fan of black backgrounds, but it seems to work well for the cities list here.
I question the real usefulness of the quick search, with no price range or BR/BA count, and no city drop-down selection, since you have so many listed on the right side and in your city search list. Also, you refer to an end user license agreement at the bottom of the quick search form, but do not link to it, and have no link I could find anywhere on the home page. That might discourage consumers from using it. I decided to put that info in my "Privacy Policy and Terms of Use" page, which I link to along with my copyright notice page and site map page in the footer links. Discreet, less intimidating, and it still provides the info I want people to be able to find if they look for it, but not in any of the main nav links. The two different reds at the bottom of the page don't seem to go very well together, and take up a lot of space. I would make them the same white on red, and also reverse the text, with copyright info on very bottom, links above that, and reduce height of both.

Ok it is working for me now. I love the fact you can type in an address in the "quick search", that is really a neat feature. I tried to search sold listings in every city but nothing came up, wonder if you have access to that feed from your MLS? Not sure if I am liking all those links to the right and such small font either. That is a lot of areas, you can't possibly deal with all those?
When I 1st got into real estate I would go all over but now I keep it to a 15- 20 mile radius max and usually less than that, it is impossible to work all the areas as well as build yourself as the "neighborhood expert". I focus on under 10 towns right now and really 6 are the important ones I work.

Yeah, need to spruce up this Footer links, to "red on red" consider making them more visible (Perhaps a realliving orange << I can explain this one better if necessary) It's on the to-do list... I'd be curious what color you are talking about. I "hope" that you will be making use of the library of divs available to spruce up and organize written content "important" etc it would be a shame if all that design top left and right were not supported with well laid out and organized content. Yeah, content needs sprucing... a lot of sprucing... thanks for kicking me in the butt to get on that. I really don't like the agent offline thing being so high up (I am sure it reads online if you are online) I know you have used the click to talk on your old site, does it perform well for you? Now that you mention it, saying "Agent Offline" doesn't sound so good. Will change the wording but past experience shows I get a lot of offline messages. I would probably make your phone numbers bigger (There is a little room left on the right) Already in process... will be MASSIVE in comparison to now... Under your featured listing, I would change "read more" to "view listing" (Read more is already used for blog posts) Excellent feedback Not to be negative, I think it looks great! I just want to make sure we tweak every little bit so this thing can hit the ground running for you Me too... thanks! |

Nice design. I am not generally a fan of black backgrounds, but it seems to work well for the cities list here.
I agree on both counts... my eye goes to it though and that's what I was looking for. Wouldn't have expected it to work though! I question the real usefulness of the quick search, with no price range or BR/BA count, and no city drop-down selection, since you have so many listed on the right side and in your city search list. That's something I hope to track with usage stats to see if it is worth keeping or rolling out something different... trying to keep bounce rate low by giving several paths for consumers. The EULA is my MLS's and the link should work when you mouse over it... works for me The two different reds at the bottom of the page don't seem to go very well together, and take up a lot of space. I would make them the same white on red, and also reverse the text, with copyright info on very bottom, links above that, and reduce height of both. Yeah, I had similar thoughts... |

I worry less about that because I don't stress myself much & if they are out of area I just refer them along to other agents If I could do it, I wouldn't have my name on it at all When I 1st got into real estate I would go all over but now I keep it to a 15- 20 mile radius max and usually less than that, it is impossible to work all the areas as well as build yourself as the "neighborhood expert". I focus on under 10 towns right now and really 6 are the important ones I work. Same as above... I just refer out what I don't know! |

The color scheme seems almost too aggressive to me.
