I need to be able to load my current leads database into the Version 2 Lead Management platform in the dev environment. If REW already has a utility to do this, then I can provide csv or excel format file, and can build it however it needs to be formatted. I just need to know the import file specifications.

This will probably require two passes: one for converting a limited set of test leads in the dev environment to test my conversion file format and the import utility, and a final pass as of date of cut-over to production to convert all live leads.

I cannot download past notes from my current leads database, so that is not a requirement, and also understand I will not be able to save/import saved searches, drip email campaign status, etc. I just want to get the lead's contact info, a lead source field, current agent assignment info, and if possible their current password as well, into the new REW database.

Hi Ron,

These leads are coming from the third party IDX?

Is something that you'll be doing constantly after the switch over ... or just a one time sort of thing?

What fields are available? Might work to send us a sample export of all the fields and we see what matches up with our database structure.

It would take from 2 to 4 hours to create an import utility for the leads.

Hi Ron,

I've sent this over to the lead manager developers - They should get back to me shortly with a quote here. I noticed that some of the fields we do not have in our system ... So we would just drop those fields ... unless you wanted a quote for us to add them into our system.
I'll let you know when I hear back from them.

Since I am/will be paying for development, the resulting custom scripts / programming are to be considered custom/proprietary to me, and are not to be made available to other REW MetroList BuyingBuddy clients without my written authorization, which I would be happy to do as long as there is some offsetting compensation / credit to help reimburse (over time) my up front cost for their development.

I am sorry Ron, we cannot satisfy that demand - writing scripts to import existing leads from another vendor is not something you can own the rights to, by agreeing to that, we would be shooting ourselves in the foot by for all intents and purposes providing you the exclusive rights to have leads imported from another system.

You are paying for the "labor" required to complete the task, you are not paying us to build you a custom application - other customers who want the same thing done will have to pay for the "labor" for us to do it. But if you paying more than others is your concern (Their piggy backing off of you) - Then I can make it a fixed priced if that suits you better.

Once we have done it a few times, I don't see it taking any more than 3 hours per client, so instead of the quote above, we will just call it $300 for any buying buddy customer who wants us to process their existing leads and create an import utility as described above.
