Hi Jake,

This is about a 1hr project. Mostly involves find and replace and testing of the domain on the new server and setting up the configuration files to reflect the new domain. We'll also need to contact the MLS board to ensure that the IDX feed is not tied to the domain. Our IDX Coordinator has just left for the day. So I'll send him this post to follow up on. Please approve the 1hr and we'll get that into the queue.

Edit: Forgot to mention that you'll need to update the DNS for the new domain to point to:

ns3.rewhosting.com
ns4.rewhosting.com

Thank you,

Check your email, Jake. I sent an email to Kristy at your MLS to inform her of the change. This is all they require. You can proceed with the complete switchover once you approve the required work.

when should I expect the changeover? Kristy has already moved the idx feed and I have the nameservers entered into the new domain.

Hi Jake,

I'll get this completed tomorrow. I need to lower the TTL's on the domain ... which takes 24hrs to propagate. So tomorrow evening I'll make the change.

Thank you,

Hi Jake,

I am in the process of doing this right now. One thing I noticed is that you've also updated the DNS for the old domain http://www.montecitohomes.net/ to point away from our servers and seem to have set up a 302 redirect to the new domain.
I was not expecting you to change that as now I am unable to implement a 301 redirect or forward the old email addresses. If you would like me to implement a 301 redirect as well as forward the old email addresses to the new ones please change it back to point to our servers.

Also please let me know if you notice any issues as a result of this domain switch.

Thank you,
