Jim, it looks really nice. An open "contact form" on the details page of your IDX right next to the additional info would be so perfect...

Looks great... crisp and clean. Too many "I" and "my" IMO, but that is a personal bias I have about a site being about what the visitor wants to find/see and not about the realtor. Individual choice prevails. It may be that I don't like the "I" thing because most P2 sites have the "I" syndrome your site is leagues above that.

I have my sometimes unwelcomed opinion about these things, but here are some suggestions anyway.
  • I would change Welcome to My Website to something like Welcome to Santa Clara County Real Estate. State what the site is about, and I don't think it is about you.
  • When I view more details on a listing, I can't find a link for a map. Maybe it is not supposed to be there.
  • Each featured area should have a way to search for homes right on that page. I would break the page up with a H2 header somewhere in the middle of the page.
  • On main navigation, I think "Search for Homes" or "Home Search" (to match "Map Search") is more effective than "New Search". Or change "Map Search" to "Search by Map" to match "Search for Homes"

I like the first time buyer page.. make sure to keep it up to date. That is a great reference page.

Nice site so far.. congratulations.

Good looking site, let me know how you like the right side nav bar, it makes sense but the boss told me she was uncomfortable with it.

The site seems fine and you'll be tweaking it I know.

I would place some text of your main keywords above the listings, maybe a sentence, perhaps replace the Welcome to my website with Sunnyvale Real Estate as your H1 & 1= Listings - homes - homes and land . Just a thought.

Also ~ I would consider reordering the links. You are way ahead of me, but I would think after your site already tells viewers they can look without registration, why put that up front. I would try it there for awhile, then try it at the bottom and give them the links to the area property searches first.

Your area descriptions on your site are great content. I know I'll fight this with my site when I build it, but a size larger text would help us old folks. That may be impossible or make your pages seem to long, so you may want to consider breaking up your text with some caption headers for each section on a page that describes what you are going to go into detail about.

This will make long content areas easier to read by breaking into sections, make it easier to read so people can scan a page and focus in on what is relevant to them...AND... by making these captions above the paragraphs an h2,h3,h4 you'll also get more love from your work.

The paragraph content headers will also create more 'white space' making it easier on the eyes to read.

One more thing you are probably ready to do anyway, place some text links back to your area search pages from your area description pages.

Great start ~ I'm jealous ~ you're way ahead of where I need to be ~ this will be great for you.

Jim does your IDX feed require the listing agent's name? If not I would definitely get rid of that, work on snippets or some sort of home search for the different areas that you cover. Looks nice, but as the others have said, make the site more even more about the real estate.

Looks great, I like.

Looks like you have alot of great content.

The only thing that I could see that would make your site complete is a little on page seo.

Some H1s
meta tags
titles, you do have them but you can get a few more keywords in there.

Jim do you mean like this? (I hope you don't mind I took the liberty) http://www.jimhoulihanrealestate.com/Sunnyvale.php

You don't need to pay for that, it's already built into your CORE IDX, you likely just don't know how to use it yet

PS while I was messing with your site without your permission, I hope you don't mind I gave you a better homepage title, and H1 tag for SEO purposes
