2-3 hours per website for proper setup and optimization of a social media website profile, times 500 sites = 1500 hours!
IF you are going through that list, you might want to make sure that you pick only the ones most relevant to your SOI, target audience or field of expertise - there would be quite a diminished return creating profiles on a lot of them.

Top 30 social book marking. I am sure there is plenty more "lesser known" ones like netscapes propeller that may be more relevant for real estate. But its a start ![]() |

I would also recommend using web 2.0 site like Zillow and Trulia. Create a profile. They have local blogs and potential clients asking questions. I've actually sold one of my listings through Zillow before. I love that double commission.

I have also notice that many of the social bookmarking sites don't even have a Real Estate category.

Links are Good!
Links to your business website are better but links back to your blog is alright too. So then, you have something to share with us 'social networking wannabees'. When is the Tulip Festival there, I can't remember? ![]()

Places like trulia where you can answer questions from potential clients is one place, I have an agent friend that has gotten several clients from there and is working with one right now. For the most part, the use of social networking is, in my opinion, a location to announce that you exist, and a place to build a referal network with other agents. After all, this business is all about networking
