Default Impact of market size of REW results

I am impressed to hear the wonderful results everyone seems to be enjoying with there REW sites and a few others that will remain nameless at this time.

My question(s) relate to how do the fantastic numbers that are reported here adjust to REW sites in smaller markets like mine, and what are the numbers I might expect.

It is all speculation and gambling to a degree, but honestly 'figures don't lie but liars do figure'. I hope that isn't to harsh and I only mean the numbers I read about make me drool even though I would think there is a way to adjust these numbers per market area.

My market area has about 80,000 +- souls, is a vacation and second, third home and resort area dominated by the gated and semi private golf and country clubs. Small but manageable.

We have around 550 member competitors in our board, the 'coopetitioners' and in SERP I believe all but the top spot can me had for most keywords if you throw enough at it. HOWEVER the top spot is held by a Buyers Only Agents (EBA) and I have seen her in forums request help because she is not converting from her site.

What can I expect, what am I in for with a new REW site?

Well your main keywords are searched almost 3 times more per month than mine and you are #3 for that term on Google, you will easily be #1 with REW. I see lots of potential for you.

What is your avg. sale price on the deals you do?

Using REW IDX with the suggested registration setup, I would say a reasonable goal for conversion (From unique visitor to lead sign up) would be around 5% (relevant natural search engine traffic only) that does not include you or your mom going to your site, or traffic brought from incidental searches from your blog, or competitors checking out your sweet new site So for every 100 unique visitors sent from Google for "real estate" related search phrases, that should equate to roughly 5 leads (I am being conservative here but I think fair, and we have discussed this many times on the forums)

I agree with Morgan and think he is being conservative on the numbers, especially if you exclude the visitors who get to your site incidentally through a non-real estate related search. There was a thread here a couple of months ago that talked about expectations for a large, medium and small market. I'll link to it if I can find it.

Thanks a bunch, it is important to me not to place more expectations on a single facet of my business or spend more on it then it can be expected to readily return (ROI), but it may be worse in my eyes to short change an opportunity because expectations were set to low, which would likely leave me scrambling or worse, leads left to long without due attention.

I appreciate the insight and help, looking forward to the PM.

I can't easily find the thread, but it is unlikley in a small to mid-sized market to expect 30 registrations a day even though that is easily possible in a large market.
