I'm back on the first page of G, and I'm gaining visitors, but my Bounce Rate is way to high, 80% yesterday. What is going on... Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks-

Maybe people are clicking off the page quickly to get to your MLS search? Since your search is hosted on another site, it might look like a bounce?

With an 80% bounce rate I would suspect that not all those extra visitor are really humans. It's possible you are being visited by robots or spiders.

Thanks for the input. I think that accounts for some of it, but my number of visitors on my MLS search site is much lower than my REW site.

I would seriously take a look through your analytics - First go to "Traffic < referring sources < search engines < Google and see what the bounce rate is for your Google specific traffic, my guess is that you will find it is much lower than 80% (That is virtually unheard of for any site, let alone an REW site)

My feeling is that there is something else hammering your site (Perhaps that pesky seachme spider is making it's rounds again who knows) I doubt very much that 80% bounce rate is representative of actual customers not even close.

My bounce rate for Google is 73.6% in the last month. Pretty high. I have been getting a lot of "spam" contacts lately though.

Really? Craziness - are you ranking for some term not related to your business at all that is bringing you the lions share of your traffic? Anything in your top referring keywords that is not relevant to a Real estate site?
