Hello all. I know this is an issue that arises from time to time, but has anyone else noticed a recent and drastic drop in the number of Google-indexed pages for their sites? Within the past month or so my indexed pages have been cut in half and I've not changed anything in terms of site architecture. Thanks in advance.

If it is content try making some adjustments to your linking structure.

From what I can tell, all my content pages, articles pages, etc. are still there. It looks like IDX pages aren't being indexed like before.

This is frustrating because of ranking loss for anyone searching by MLS # or listing address. Any suggestions?

just checked and don't see much change with indexed pages on any of my sites. I have heard some talk of sites losing idx pages.

r u referring to your REW site?

I've lost pages; all original content pages too.

Interesting enough, when I look in my g-webmaster account, it says only 33 pages of 80 pages are indexed. If I search "siteurwebsite," it comes up with a lot more than 33 pages indexed.

If you haven't touched anything, then most likely your backlinks are flowing less PageRank. How well your indexed depends mainly on how much PageRank is flowing into your site (and in part by how you spread that juice around your site). If links to your site gets devalued or if the sites linking to you adds more pages to their site or if sites linking to the sites linking to your site experiences a PageRank flux, that can all end up impacting how well you're indexed.

Yes, it is an REW site w/ custom IDX that I'm referring to about loss of indexed IDX pages. I've seen some sites with thousands of IDX pages being indexed. I figured with more time and authority I'd get there, too. But it appears my progress in # of indexed pages is being reversed.

I'm loosing IDX pages also, is this going to be permanent?

i had about 2500 pages indexed on google, most becuase of REW IDX. i'm down to under 1,000.

On google though, it jumped from 800 to over 2,000 in the same period.

strange.
