Default Telephone Line Forwarding Question

Wanted to find out if any of you are using a telephone forwarding program. Right now I use my cell as the contact phone number on my site. Would like to use a new number that I could forward to another agent while I am out showing. I don't want to forward my primary cell as I still need to be able to receive calls from current clients. Need caller ID to show up during the forwarding process. Need to be able to forward the phone from wherever I am and not have to be at a land line to do it.

Try RingCentral

I just started using them and they have a lot of features including 800 numbers multiple extensions. Sounds like it would be useful for what you are looking to do. You can change where the calls get routed to.

You could always just change your voicemail on your cell leaving your partner's phone number on there. This should direct the proper people to call your partner if you are not answering.

You want to be real careful with changing things in your advertising. Law stipulates that the Office Number is shown in all advertising. Many of us (and I say us because I did when I was an agent) break this rule when we place our own ads. If you have a web site, not only MUST the company name be predominant on the site, but the office number must be clear.

I use call forwarding every day. I do not believe in letting people leave messages. Since we have a small office, I make sure the phone is being forwarded somewhere it will always be answered. To my cell phone, car phone, vacation house, agents cell phone, business phone. Sometimes I will have it set to FIND or HUNT. In that mode it will transfer the call out to numerous numbers and who ever picks up first takes the call.

I find the Hunt/ Find feature the best out of all the features. You might want to try that.

That law that stipulates certain requirements for advertising differs from state to state and from company to company. You can't just say that it's a general law. I don't EVER put the office number on any of my advertising/marketing pieces! Why would I? It's not required here.
