On average, how long does it take to get listed in Google for your main keyword phrase? I just checked Google Rankings and we are not in the top 1,000 yet. Our site was live on the net about a month and a half ago and there simply are not that many quality sites targeting "Nashville Real Estate". I know that there are a ton of sites, but not 1,000 that I would consider as informative as ours. Thank you!

The sandbox normally lasts 6-9 months.

Is the sandbox, a place that all new sites go?

There are many that believe that the sandbox only applies to new sites, I do not agree with that view. New and old sites alike can experience the sandbox.
I think the most acurate description is that incoming links are sanboxed, i.e. The links you get today count at some point in the future and that there is also a dampening effect on them. |

I see, so all of our links have to mature before they can truely be counted. And those links are one of the most important elements to being ranked high on Google.

I have no proof and this is MSB according to Jenny, but I was always the concept that both new sites And new links were sandboxed for a while...
My site did sit in the box (or so I think) for about 9 months... and for some KWs it still is in the box....but I'm not worried, it will come around sooner or later...

I see, what exactly do you mean by right? I would expect that the most accurate keyword phrase for us would be Nashville Real Estate, is this not right?
