It's been a while since our last movie thread.. so here's a new one!

Has anyone seen any good movies lately? Over the past couple of days, I've been taking it easy and just watching a bunch of them after work.

The movies I watched are Southland Tales, Shoot 'Em Up, Cloverfield and Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem.

I liked them all.. particularly Southland Tales. I watched this one last night. It's by the same guy who wrote and directed Donnie Darko. It's a bit confusing, but there are some hilarious parts as well as some good musical scenes. I highly recommend it! It stars The Rock, Justin Timberlake (Surprised by both performances), Sarah Michelle Geller, Amy Poehler, Mandy Moore, Sean William Scott, Christopher Lambert.... and many others.

I just watched Into the Wild. It was alright. I thought they put the movie together pretty well, but I still like the book better. It's definitly not an "upper" movie, kind of sad.

I watched Super Bad again as well. Now thats a funny movie. Maybe not appropriate for all, but hilarious!

I really liked Into The Wild.. but I have never read the book. I think I'm just biased because Eddie Vedder did the soundtrack.

Shoot 'Em Up was awesome, if only that Paul Giamatti played a bad guy, and Clive Owen killed people with carrots.

Sadly I haven't seen anything in a theater in awhile. Waiting for Ironman, Batman, Indiana Jones, and a few others though

Read the book. Krakour is a great author. His book "Into Thin Air" is really good as well.

I saw Vantage Point a few weeks ago. I liked the story which is told from many points of view but found annoying the quick rewind to restart the story each time.

We saw Dragonlance this last weekend. We didn't expect a lot due to a lot of bad reviews but we both really enjoyed the books when we were younger.

Sadly, it was worst than the reviews expressed. The story was rushed making character development impossible. The graphics were possibly a little worse than He-man from the 80s.

Okay. mrlb. That's crossing the line. That he-man movie was/is amazing. I bought it like.. 4 months ago and have watched it about 10 times since.
