I'm seeing a lot of movement on page 1. Anyone else? I'm also seeing things I really don't like, like Trulia and Yahoo gaining ground on page 1. How in the world do we fight that?

I noticed the same thing today. My website has moved up from #16 to #6. I've seen the same movement a few weeks ago and then everything has settled and I was back to #16. I hope it's permanent, but who knows what Google is doing.

Yes! I moved from #40 to the #6 slot for "city real estate" today. I only do that good when Google moves around. I am sure that Google will put me back in the tank soon enough

I saw some movement where I shifted from 4th to 9th, not happy about that but trying to manage it now...I thought it was just me but I see others have the same issues or the reverse of the same issues

For a while now, I have seen sites get pulled off of the second or third page of the serps and put into the #2-6 spots. They stay there for a day or 2 and then things go back to somewhat normal for a while and then it happens again with a different site. Then it happens with the same sites again.

My guess is g is testing to see which sites are sticky but not ranking too well. They give a promising site a chance at the top and watch to see if it outperforms the site it replaced.

This could be a part of them using traffic data to gauge the worthiness of a site.

I have been seeing the exact same thing as Bigtoe. Every day or two some new site is up at the top of page one.
