Default google and active rain?

my indexed pages on google got halved recently. The person that helps me with my site said to stop whatever the heck I was doing. My yahoo indexed pages shot up but are now receding.

I haven't made any dramatic changes to my site. However, i did blog on active rain and included a bunch of links to pages in my site.

The only other change I could think of is i bought another domain name from godaddy which gets forwarded and 'masked'. something similar to this fullertonhomesearch dot com .

Oh, and I've been putting a crudload of ads on craigslist, but they all have a 'no follow' link

So, is it me, is it google, did I do anything wrong? I occasionally go to Marketleap dot com and look at the 'link popularity' and 'search engine saturation'. I don't know if that's worth doing, but I fell off the earth.

I'm still doing well in the serps, and I guess that is the main thing. But i just don't want the Riffs down on my head.

Take a deep breath Greg....

Blogging on active rain wont hurt you.
Adding listings to craig's wont hurt you.
The other domain name should be 301 re-direct! It is the most search engine friendly. This may be the cause.

You should consult with your wonderful, intelligent, fantastic, not to mention efficient VA!

ok.
Yes, I did a 301 re-direct on the domain name.

Just trying to figure out what's going on.

Dona is right with what she posted below - "except" I will disagree about the active rain thing slightly, Blogging on Active Rain won't hurt you, spamming active rain with links might (If not now, in the future) - I honestly would ban you if you posted something like that on REW Blogs (Half as many links as words) - it's unnecessary and excessive IMHO

I agree. I think spamming on active rain is going to be frowned upon.

I've noticed active rain taking hit lately as well, but have changed nothing on my end. even threads in SERPs have fallen dramatically

Is it just me or all of those links in the first post broken and going to AR pages that don't exist?
