Just received this "New Listing" from Trulia Alerts today. I thought Trulia was providing Homes For Sale from Real Estate Brokers, not from companies that are SELLING their service to consumers and agents. Apparently, this listing below is for property that has been filed with the local county as a foreclosure and will be auctioned off at the courthouse steps. It's not in the MLS and Trulia is accepting and sending out this information from RealtyTrac - which charges a FEE (after a 'free' trial period).
This is crazy, in my opinion. What's next? I've been a fan of TruliaVoices on a local level, but where is this going? Thoughts? Feedback? Thanks! http://www.trulia.com/foreclosure/20...lanta-GA-30312

Hi Ramiro!
Thanks for being a fan of Trulia Voices. We announced our partnership w/ RealtyTrac last November. Consumers are looking for this type of local information. In conjunction w/ finding foreclosure properties on Trulia, consumers can also ask their foreclosure related questions on Voices. Providing this type of information to consumers is consistent with our mission to be the best place to start your real estate search.

Perhaps I am dense, but I am not sure I understand the issue (Potential issue) here, can you explain?

The information, for the most part, is dated and incorrect. The most concerning issue is that Trulia allows this data to be syndicated on their site and the content provider is actually charging a fee for this data - which is totally against Trulia guidelines. Quite ironic. Aside from the many complaints found online about RealtyTrac requiring a credit card during a 'free' look period, they still charge the card even with notice of canellation.
I've enjoyed TruliaVoices tremendously and have met several buyers via Trulia. I just hate to see it tarnished by poor quality content such as RealtyTrac.

Tsena, his post is above this... is it not visible?
I'll past it below... I think what you might be wanting to see is TruliaVoices official response to me about my lack of satisfaction with them about this. I'm checking now to see if it's ok to post a direct response from them - as I want to be 'compliant' with terms here. Thanks! Hi Ramiro! Thanks for being a fan of Trulia Voices. Tsena, Have you seen the other Forum Post by Eric? There seems to be more 'exchange' of opinions on that one regarding SERP. I take it you've seen it?
I'm still in the process of fully reading the REW TOS re: BLOGs and Forum rules. I do have a very interesting reply from Trulia Support re: RealtyTrac.

Since Trulia seems to be working against us in the SERP's and you like to use Trulia Voices why not contribute to www.city-data.com/forum in stead. They are not working against us as REALTORs.

Thanks James (as well as to Eric Bramlett on my BLOG) with the same suggestion. I'll investigate it. Thanks!
