It's the best time to invest or purchase a house. As the economic crunch is pushing crude oil prices higher than the roof, the Real Estate market is experiencing a big drop, making the current rates relatively cheaper.
Would you take advantage of the current real estate downfall and invest in a home?

IMO this is one of the best buyers markets of all time: cheap prices and tons of foreclosures, very low interest rates, and higher inflation = higher rents.
Just imagine if you would have invested in stocks during the great depression or any real estate 5-10-15-20 years ago or more. When the market (any market) is getting hit the hardest is the time to BUY!!! BUY!!! BUY!!! ![]()

I hope the FED cuts rates again. I would like to see 30 Year rates fall below 5.5.

I just bought a home. Definitely was a great buy. Doing the research and finding value homes definitely can be done right now.

There are some great deals out there right now. I don't know if we have hit rock bottom, but I think in some areas we are pretty close. The problem is you don't know what rock bottom is until you are well beyond it. If you are not expecting an immediate reversal of home prices and can hold onto your home for more than a couple of years, it makes sense to buy right now.

I tend to agree. It is always impossible to gauge rock bottom. Once the upswing has happened you are already too late. I think all deals like anything must be evaluated on a case by case basis. If you are very knowledgable about your area you should always be able to pick the diamond in the rough so to speak.
