Try Macromedia Dreamweaver, in our opinion it's the best.

I am going agaist the grain. Easy does not equate to good. I would not use Dreamwearer or FrontPage or any other propritary editor. Why? Because they generate bloated outdated code especially FrontPage, once you become comfortable with poor code it becomes difficult undo the bad habits. Yes I know that Dreamwearer generates css code, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. If you want something that is not difficult to use and generates standards compliant, css/xhtml code try nvu.com. Its also free.

I dont find DW code to be bloated at all, in fact we use it for all our layouts, it is all in how much actual coding vs design view you use.

I am not sure what you mean by "actual coding vs design." The way I learned to code was to separate the design from content by using a style sheet for the design. The resulting source code is human readable and not cluttered with a high html to content ratio. The bloat I was referring to is the higher than necessary html to content ratio.

Did you use Dreamweaver on the sites in your signature?

SEO Guy has fairly clean sematic markup.

SEO Guy was done a long time ago on the old dw which has come a long way with mx2004 - however I did not know as much as I know now about web development when I created it. www.mslasvegasrealestate.com was done in DW which is one of our newest sites.

The code is pretty good, much better since the last I used DW 2 yrs ago. It fails on the tables though, but that is to be expected.

I believe in using css/xhtml where ever possible but there are times when it is not possible especially when you want to incorporate a 3rd party script. I use open-realty a lot, we got ver 1.15 compliant and will begin work on version 2 when it is out of beta.
