I have an HTTP Error: 404 (Not found) for the following URL
http://www.grandametz.com/Marketing-Your-Property.php May 1, 2008 This is correct since I no longer have this page on my site. Here is the problem: In the Sitemap Tools section, I removed the URL back in Feb 2008. Google tells me that it has been removed and I even have the option to Re-include this URL. Unfortunatly, I am still getting the 404 error for this URL. It's still there (in the sitemap) and generating the 404 error. How can I get this URL off of my Google Sitemap??? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

You could either find the sitemap.xml file in your filespace, find the link and manually remove it. Or, if you're using a crawler program to generate your sitemap, you might have a link somewhere pointing to that page that's somehow still being included on the sitemap.xml file.
Once you have the new sitemap, upload it and re-submit to Google.

If you are talking about that page specifically, you might want to stop linking to it, otherwise it may stay in the index forever
As far as your sitemap.xml you should be able to republish your sitemap if you are on CMS 2.0 and then just have Google ping it. If you need help please post in the CSR forums. Thanks

Is there a way to track down the links to these URL's that may be lurking on one of my other pages? If I could find the links to these pages, I can easily remove them... Hoping there is a "find & replace" button.
Both of the URL's below are not found when my site is crawled; however, on the Google Webmaster tool "remove URL's" tool says that the "Web page has been removed" 404 (Not found) URL's 1 - http://www.grandametz.com/Destin'>http...leproperties.com/destin-real-estate.htm 2 - http://www.grandametz.com/Mortgage-Information.php Any additional direction is appreciated. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I have several pages that I've deleted and aren't linked from other sites that are still showing 404 errors.
