Do you mean just an RSS snippet linking to your most recent posts with a clickable link and short description of most recent posts? Example http://www.jimolenbush.com/ Austin Real Estate News

I was thinking either that or like www.bloodhoundrealty.com Which one is better for client use and SEO purposes? Also I noticed that site www.jimolenbush.com has like 18,000 backlinks, is that because of the custom idx? Wow thats impressive. Is there a SEO advantage to having my blog on the home page or is it simply cosmetic? I was thinking it would be like a newspaper site where fresh content is constantly added if I have my blog on the home page? Any thoughts on that? Because otherwise there really isn't an opportunity or a reason to add fresh content to your home page, does that make sense?

I cannot answer the SEO questions ( you may need to book some consulting time for that ) ... but I can tell you that the RSS reader to put the latest few blog entries on your home page is a 1/2hr programming project. And it seems to be quite popular for REW clients to have so it must be working for them  Please approve the 1/2hr programming time and I'll get it in the queue. Thank you,

I can't make a decision until I understand the SEO pro's and cons to adding a RSS reader or to do it like bloodhoundrealty.com , so I will just wait to hear from Morgan before I make a decision.

I'm not sure what bloodhoundrealty.com is ... looks like the whole site is a blog.
What about the users ? I always like to quote the Google Webmaster Guidelines Quote:
