I'm at the point where I'd like to get some more feedback, especially from members who are getting a fair amount of leads from their sites.

I'd particularly like any suggestions about how to improve the lead capture rate, but general design or content suggestions are appreciated as well. Right now I'm getting about 2% of visitors are registering for the IDX.

I really like your site. I like the IDX in the top left. It makes it easy to navigate to. I don't know how it affects conversions being that easily accessible. Possibly one of the senior members would know.

One thing though: If your main keyword is Portland Oregon Real Estate. You only have it in the page title, page heading, and in the first sentence. After that from what I read it doesn't appear again on the first page.

Last thing: The end under Portland Facts. I would make those 2 sentences both as statements rather than as questions. The question mark at the end of the sentence confused me for a minute.

Add some snippets so properties show up that the visitor can view when they land on the community/area page. Let them view basic info and require sign-in for details. Adds some hyperlinks to new pages of areas so they can view property by a simple click. They visit to view properties, so let them see them.

I would turn on registration for sure
Reduce the city list in the /idx/ (You don't really serve all those areas do you?)
Create snippets as OC says
Improve your calls to action "click here" type elements.

I do actually like the zip codes part, I take it back as that is helpful to know what Zip codes are contained within the area, but really the way it's formatted (And because I am quite sure I know why you did it) is what comes across. Needs formatting, and personality.

TheRealOBX-I've made the Quick Facts a statements as suggested.

OCTeam I like the mini search box you have on your site on the upper right. I've been torn about whether that would be more effective or the map search graphic. I suppose they both serve a very similar purpose.

I also noticed the OCTeams IDX site is blazing fast compared to mine. Morgan would it speed up the site if I were to remove some cities? I'd like my site to be blazing fast too

Morgan-Yeah I know the content needs work. Only so many hours in a day. I'm curious, can you point me to an example of a city focused real estate site that you think has great local content with effective calls to action?

Actually I have the one sample snippet to add properties to pages that REW gave me, but it took so long to load that I turned it off.

Advertise your site on everything. I get 1/2 my leads from other sites and direct traffic. I make my website the focus of every ad that I post whether it be print media or online advertising.

Yeah now comes the most important part, how you get your website in the public eye, mainly, how you get traffic to your site. Other sites and direct traffic will be crucial, but never neglect the search engines, because they are the top way you will receive unique visitors.
