Default Overweb3D, has anyone considered it?

This overweb 3d thing looks pretty cool. It is a website feature where you can overlay a chroma key video (no background) over your website. It is commonly used on the home page as an introduction to the website. A salesperson or actor walks out on to your screen with your website as the background and makes a pitch for your product, service or website.

At first I thought it was hokey (who needs another gimmick especially one that sucks up bandwidth) but I am not so sure. My bounce rate right now is just under 60%, I am thinking I might need something hokey to keep my users at my site. I was also thinking about adding another way to communicate concept and brand to those who don't want to take the time to read the content we thought was reinforcing it.

Lastly, someone smarter than me told me recently that a website should have a unique feature that differentiates you from your competition, lord knows we can all use the stickiness.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

In my opinion, adding a "hokey" feature can only push your bounce rates further down that what they already are.

On the other hand, let's take a look at your site to possibly see why your bounce rate is so high. What program do you use to track your site visitors?

Cool; analytics will get you the information you need. Where is a majority of your traffic coming from?

O.o - It's ok; no need to get all specific. If your keywords are driving traffic, and it's purely organic, then your home page is the next target to focus on.

Your home page has to be designed to provide the consumer what they are looking for first. This is so important for lead conversion, and can make or break a real estate site in my opinion.

This is getting to be more about your site than the original thread topic (my fault, I know!), so why don't you pop a post over in the site review section and we'll continue it there.
