My site has been bouncing around quite a bit lately. I have yet to make it on to page one but I went from number 24 to number 36 yesterday. Talk about frustration when your are trying to go the other way.

I'm noticing quite a bit of flucuation. I jumped from about 17 to 11 on google for dallas real estate yesterday. I here you though, I've been bouncing back and forth as well

I've been jumping around in the ranks hourly for the past week. Everytime I check for my main key words I'm in a different position. I was number 2, then 9, then 6 and so on... Weird.

I have noticed that too, except the rankings for one of my friend's Websites have been jumping around even more drastically in the past few weeks. He went from 5 to 26, then back up to 8 and now he's at 14 for one of his keywords. It's been in the 12-15 range for quite some time before this recent shuffling.

are you guys continuing to build links? i don't know how long its going to last but since i started trying to build at least five links per week. i started seeing some really good results with my ranking on google and yahoo. i really started building links in march now i am on the first page of google for some of my key phrases and have been there.

I'm seeing a lot of flucuation both day and night, main keyword moves to top 10, sticks around for a couple of days, and then moves back. in past week I've moved from 13 dallas real estate to 4 to 11 to 5 to 10 and back to 13

I think they are checking your sites stickiness. They move you up in the serps, you out perform the site you replaced , you get to stay. You don't out perform the site you replaced and you go to the back of the line.

They are letting consumers decide which sites are the best. Improve your bounce rate before they give you your shot at the top.

I've been studying things lately as I am seeing trulia, yahoo, etc move up. It seems to me that the big G may have increased the importance of the age of a domain. Sites with a lot of good links still do well, but the older sites have moved up. It also appears that sites with really massive numbers of links regardless of quality have moved up. So are we seeing more weight given to age and the sheer number of links?
