I thought I had this whole Google thing kinda figured out...at least the bones of it, but not sure now. I am just having a hard time getting a hand on some of these latest SERP updates as they just don't make any sense...and from all the discussions, it sounds like a lot of you are saying the same thing...

Tell me if I'm wrong...or at least share your thoughts and experiences so far

I personally don't think they're quite finished doing whatever they're doing.

I know what you mean. Trulia and Yahoo are on the 1st page in our market, which is rare. I imagine that things will settle out as they normally do. Maybe you should focus on something else for a few days

Everything looks to be fairly normal in my market. Although one of my press realeases made it to page 1 for my main keyword. That is surprising.

Things are fluctuating more than I've ever seen them right now. I think Google has been doing some major work on their algorithm. They need to get settled because this type of stuff can hurt people's businesses.
