Question how long does it take for google to like you?

I used to have www . joecline . com at another real estate marketing company. I paid some decent cash to move ti over to REW. It's been a month or maybe 6 weeks since the move was completed, but Google still seems to hate me.

On the other hand, my www . affinityproperties . com site, which started at REW has been decently liked by G almost since it started.

Anyone see any reason why Google would be holding a grudge against my other site?

thanks
Joe

Hi

There are a lot of variables which need to be considered.

The two main ones are probably title tags and incoming links.

Have you been tracking your visitors with an analytics program?

Cheers
Neil

You have to get backlinks with anchor text that contains the phrase you wish to rank for.

Make several versions of these phrases and build your links constantly. Get these links from pages that are relevant to real estate and they will have more value.

Chances are your site may have been placed in the "sandbox", which is like saying it is in a probationary period before being put up on Google. Without knowing the kinds of things you are doing to your site, it could be sandboxed for reasons like detecting duplicate content on a new url (since you transferred it over), large amounts of backlinks/reciprocal links, etc.

If you don't have a blog for your site already, you might want to set one up. They are some of the easiest ways to get your site on Google. Should take no more than 24-48 hours after making some posts on your blog.

For a brand new site, is it a waste to submit articles, and start building back links right now? Will it speed up the process for when the new sites starts getting some rankings or should I wait 6 months and let the domain age for awhile?

It is the egg and the chicken case You will not rank if you have no backlinks.

For sure it is not a waste of time to build backlinks to your website. For best results, link building should be made in a constant manner. It is important not to have huge amount of links in a short period because this might raise a flag at Google to review and check if the links are not type of a spam but if you have lets say 10 links a day, no flag will be raised.

Honestly Mike, looking at your site (And I hate predicting these things) it seems almost like you have been penalized. Doing a search like "nuhomesource fort worth" and not having your domain come in the top 3 is quite concerning. you might want to evaluate some of your link building / SEO practices before any more of your domains end up in the same situation.

Check the SEs for duplicate content and make someone did not steal your content. I have had my own sites disappear off the first page and it took me a week or so to realize some company stole all the content and even most of my design and for some reason my site was penalized.
