I don't know if this tool/company has been mentioned elsewhere, but I wanted to bring it to the groups attention.
I'm not spamming, as I have no ties to this company, but they offer an easy way to post nice looking listings to Craigslist. I thought this would be of help to people that manually post their listings on Craigslist. You just put in the listing information on their site, choose a template, and it creates the listing page code that you then copy and paste into Craigslist. The listings includes links back to your main site, your pic, pics of the listing and all the details. Once you create the page, you just go in once a week and repost to Craigslist without having to recreate anything. They also offer more tools that I have not explored yet. On the Craigslist tangent, have you heard of craygoDOTcom. Among many features, it produces code that enables you to post the same ad to multiple cities with just one submission. A little spammy but for those people who work in transient cities or second home havens, you could see where some legitimate targeted marketing could be achieved.

Craigslist is actually starting to research limiting the amount of HTML you can use and in some areas (Westchester, NY for example) you have to pay to list. $10 per listing I believe.

Interesting news...thanks Larry. It'll be interesting to see how quickly Craigslist starts adopting real estate "pay-per-post" everywhere (I heard it was coming). It makes sense...I'm sure you see the same but in the DC Metro area a post is "buried" in a matter of minutes.

Poslets.com also offers a free service that creates html for craigslist postings. I have no idea what craigslists html limits are, but my listings that I create on postlets are not getting yanked.

my postlets never get flagged on craigslist either, and they include a lot of html.
my craigslist ads, not just the postlets, have a bounce rate of about 18% |

Very cool, how do you program analytics into individual postlets pages?

I don't program analytics into individual postlets pages.
I view my craigslist ads in the traffic sources overview report of my analytics account. some of my ads are the copy and pasted html of postlets. |

Got it -- many thanks. 18% bounce rate...well done...
