Question Auto email new listings to clients.

Is there a feature where a client has a defined search and the new listings are automatically emailed to them real time? If yes, can the option be selected when a person registers, or later as an update or can an agent do it from the backend?

This answer to your question depends on which version of the lead manager you are using. What is the url for your site?

Hi Barbara,

The best way to know what options your users have is to go through your site as though you are a new customer looking for a home.

You will see that when you are on your homepage and click search, enter the criteria and choose 'save and search', a registration page appears. Basically, to view the search results, they must register. You will also see that on the register form there is a check box (which is already selected by default) that is an agreement to be emailed new listings with the search criteria that was chosen by the user.

You can certainly create a search for a lead using the lead manager. Just click on the name of the lead in lead manager (which brings you to the lead summary page). Click the 'searches' button. This category shows if the lead has any saved searches and it allows you to create one for them by clicking the 'create a saved search for this lead' button.

Is it true then, that there is no way to select or deselect the option of receiving emails that match saved search criteria except when a client initially registers?

There appears to NOT be an option to select to receive emails that match saved search criteria if an agent manually enters in the client through the backend and sets up the searches for them. Should there be?

For leads to opt out of these emails, they will have to send you an email request, or you could post a work order to have us create one.

In the edit lead section, you can select or deselect the Receive new Listings check box as shown below:
