The site looks nice. IMO, you need to minimize the number of clicks for the users to get to the information. Search for homes goes to a page that has your quick search box on the top then a page of info and trying to get them to click on one of your response forms. They are at your site to first and foremost get information and once they see if you provide it the way they want it they will decide if they want to contact you. Same thing with the blog. When you click on the blog link you go to a splash page talking about the blog then another click to get to it.
I would suggest adding photos to the team member pages and why not tell them how you and Anne are related.

Derrick,
I like the color scheme and the picture selections, layout etc. I do think you need to take the words "real estate" out of your featured area links. Look a little spammy like it is. I am not sure if you get any benefit from having the words "real estate" after each area. Keep up the good work.

Derrick - I agree, it's a really great looking site. The city/area + real estate issue has been covered so one really small programming note -- on the quick search it looks like your "max price" stops at $1M. The "max price" option on the scroll-down will provide every $1M+ property but I was thinking you may want to make the "max price" a little more specific. It doesn't have to be in $250K increments (after $1M) like your IDX page but maybe $500K or $1M increments. Just a thought! Well done and continued success.

Thanks’, I agree now that I look at it through your suggestions, the "real estate" after every featured city was a bit much on the navigation links, they are now removed. I agree on the "blog", I can not figure out how to link that side navigation directly to my blog without creating that extra page - do I make a snippet? Suggestions on that if anyone knows the answer.
The min and max on my quick serach - great idea, I will send that in for changes. Otherwise anybody else has any feedback?, keep it coming and thanks’ so far! It really helps seeing another angle.

Hey Derrick - with regards to the blog, I don't think you need the blog intro page at all. Just have the "My Blog" link directly to your blog. Your contact info. is already prominently displayed and I don't think you'll find your visitors need the blog definition. If the intro page is there for the SERPs, I think you're just as safe changing the title of your blog from "Recent Posts" to "Minneapolis Blog" (if that's the key phrase you're targeting". Also change the meta title/description too. You'll have to have one of the programmers make this change (unless CMS 2.0 allows you to modify your REW blog yourself). But I think that's the way I'd go if that's your intention. Hope that helps and please chime in Jason, Eddy, Richard and company if you have a different take.

I really like the colors as well. You may want to consider making your phone number larger on the heading and reducing the cities on your quick list to just the areas that you focus on. You can have a more extensive list of cities on the actual IDX search.

Derrick, you will also want to address your titles, content etc - Northstar is borderline militant when it comes to agents using the acronym MLS anywhere in their titles or content. Example you have "this data is pulled from a Blaine MLS search" - This can get you fined or get your feed taken away, not worth it.
The content I looked at, (I didn't review all of it) looked like it was thrown together for SEO (Lots of keywords very little thought or substance) as opposed to carefully constructed with calls to action, and users in mind. - I do really like how you incorporated your phone number in the H1 - I have not seen that done yet, and "why not!" talk about a call to action right away ![]()
