Default Registration form mod

I'd like to get a quote for a second page on the registration form to request optional information from the user. Our main page is all required and very simple but I would like to ask for more data if they're agreeable to providing it after they create the account. We currently require verification of the email and the new data could be requested easily on the page that directs users to their email account for their password. We would ask for address, if they need to sell first, areas of interest/focus for search, other search criteria (let them list...don't provide options), first time home buyer. This data woudl simply be sent to us in an email with the users name. Pleae provide thoughts, suggestions and cost estimates. Thanks!

Hi Jake,

So .... You'd like users to be asked to enter more information right after they register an end up on the login page.... makes sense ... So to the login page we would add a section something like:
"Want to give us some more information?"

Then it would have these fields:

- Address
- Do you need to sell first?
- areas of interest/focus for search?
- other search criteria?
- first time home buyer?

After they "Sign In" this information will be emailed to you ( if they filled something in )

We'll need some design for the placement of the input boxes - estimate 1hr.
Then 1hr programming to "hook them up" and make it email you.

Thank you,

Not quite if i'm reading this right...we want the request for this information to be on the page AFTER the login page. We want the registration form to be short and sweet and don't even want to complicate it with the option of providing this data...this is how we got into the trouble we're in. Maybe you mean the Login page to be the page where they can login after we send them the password. There is a confirmation page that tells users to check their email and this is the page that should provide them with the opportunity. It should also be very clear that it's option with wording such as "Want to provide us with more information so that we can better meet your needs?" etc.

Yes - I was talking about the login page - so you want to add another page - after they login - that asks them for the more information. That shouldn't take to much longer to do - and additional 1hr should cover it.

Well now that we're doing the password verification the page is already there....so still should be just adding fields. When user signs in now on registration it sends them an email and the next page after they submit lets them know to go to their email to retrieve pswd. Can we use this page?
