You can read about an "RSS feed" in Wikipedia. RSS stands for "really simple syndication" and means you can view new information from different sites in one viewer, provided they use RSS.

RSS is a means for distributing information, mostly used for news headlines but also encompassing events, discussions, corporate releases etc.

when I started my blog page, I spent a weekend reading and learning all I can about RSS feed. RSS = Real Simple Syndication ... It's anything but simple ... after hours or research, I still don't have a full grasp of it. It's will sink in one of these days. good luck. bet you'll figure it out before I do.
