Hi everyone - I have been on page 1 for the last 2 years for keywords like:
santa fe real estate santa fe mls santa fe homes real estate in santa fe and many more. When I woke up this morning, my site had totally disappeared - I can't find it anywhere! Anyone know why/how that could happen? The only recent changes I made were to add a few more listings. HELP!!!! Nancy www.realestateinsantafenm.com |

I am going to take a guess here but you appear to have a redirect to www.../home.html which is in the google index but I dont think you have any real links pointing to it...I only saw 4. It looks like back in 07 you were doing someting with some redirects and maybe that had something to do with it

thanks for the responses. I have always done my SEO by the book and have done nothing that would cause google to ban me. I am still indexed, and in my webmaster tools, it shows that my site still ranks #2 for this word, #5 for that keyword, etc, but when I put the keyword in the search box, my site does not show up!

I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I just saw that yesterday, someone from India came to my site from
http://tools.trulia.com/outworx/comp...?siteId=122517 when I try that URL, it asks me to log in. Anyone know what that is? Could someone have hacked something through this? |

It looks like Google may have finally caught up with you and your reciprocal linking partners and discounted those links, as they have many other websites. Your links pages are organized by states, which is a sure tip-off. Google shows only a minimal number of inbound links to your site, so it is also likely that many of the links you thought you had before have been removed by the other website owners.

so...do you suggest that I just delete all the state pages?
My site has not been crawled since June 23...so I don't understand how it would all of a sudden disappear! |

I would also get rid of pages like this www.realestateinsantafenm.com/links_2(dot)html
It is just a bunch of links that are not even organized. Excessive link exchanges are against its webmaster guidelines.

On a similar note to what you have heard before most likely google has discounted or ignored the links coming in to you if they feel they are of no value. Also with the volume of sites that you link to a few of them could be on google's naughty list which will have an impact on your sites ranking.
I am not going to say delete those pages all together, but I strongly suggest removing the links that you don't feel add value to your site and its visitors. |
