Default Since Bourbon, datacenter results??

My site has dropped over the last few weeks from 8 or 9 on page 1 to #14 on page 2.

My website is http://www.clarkcounty4sale.net and my main keywords are "Vancouver Washington Real Estate"

So I did some cleaning up, added more content and although when I checked on google.com I still show up as #14, when I did a McDar Datacenter check it shows that about half the datacenters my site is #2 and the other half #19.

Anyone have a clue what this means? Will my site be at #2 on all the datacenters eventually? I am not sure how to interpret the datacenter mixed results.

Thanks for your input

Wait you'll know soon enough!!!!

I know that's not what you are looking for but at this point what can you do? I have you at the 14th position for Vancouver Washington Real Estate.

The drop could be for many reasons. More competition, back link drops, page optimization but usually that takes a pretty big change.

Good luck! sward

I going to bet my money on the #2 spot for you! Nice work.

I've been tracking the last update and the datacenters that are showing results that are different from the results before the update show you as #2...all of them.

But like Las Vegas said...no one knows for sure.

The logical assumption would be that the data centers that are different than those before the update are going to be the new results set.....sure would make me happy.

I also noticed that the newer results sets are not using the tracking url.....not sure if that means anything.

Think the new results aren't as good, not just looking at your site has anyone else noticed this? There seems to be more spamy sites and mega no content sites at the top. Any thoughts?

Also noticed that in the real estate field that #1 Expert sites are doing very well with the new update. They are some of the most keyword stuffed sites out there, very sad that they are ranking better now. The site map on the bottom of the homepage is so tacky.

But they are very effective...especially if you plan to use non html menus. I wouldn't build a site without one...at least a small one.

Ski, What you have is 5 or 6 links not every page in your site, big difference.

Sometimes I get carried away ...see for yourself: www.telluridevisitorguide.com

All that anchor text adds up...even if it's from you own site.

The rewrite of this site is using flash menus for the main navigation http://telluridevisitorguide.com.dnstemplate.com

Check out the efficiency of the code from the new site vs the old code

Question Re: Since Bourbon, datacenter results??

Hey SkiRe,
How do the SE's like that new code? I have to rebuild my sites eventually with updated code and I can't decide which way to go. CSS or other. Anybody know what coding is best if you have to convert a site with over 500 pages? What's best if starting from scratch as I have two new sites I have to build too? I use dreamweaver already just when I built these sites Dreamweaver was just coming out with the CSS feature and I missed the learning curve. my old sites do well right now especially in Google... sure don't want to mess that up. So are you just keeping the old pages till the new ones get crawled? what about duplicate content penalties? Can you just modify those pages you want to rank and leave the rest in HTML 4? will both methods work in the same site?

Enquiring minds want to know
