Default Looking for Constructive Criticism

I am curious to get feed back on the format and how the blogs are pulled into the relevant static pages, and what ever else you may have.

http://skyrealtyaustin.com

Many thanks

Curtis

Curtis - I'd think about making your blog more visually accessible. Maybe an icon "see our Austin Blog" (under the featured listings module perhaps). If I think of anything else, I'll be sure to share. Overall I think it looks great...really intuitive and clean look. Best...

Nice clean site.

The two things I would change:

1. add a link to your blog in the "main navigation" sidebar
2. add pictures to your blog excerpts to get readers' attention

Curtis,

I agree with above - Put a link to your blog in a more prominent place. Perhaps change the top navigation to: Buying, Selling, Listings, Blog, Contact

It took me a while to find the link to your blog.

I like it. Very clean and neat. I also like the search site feature, I never though about that.

I like to as well. Very refreshing and clean. I will agree with John on where to put your blog link, somewhere in the main navigation so it is easy to find.

First impression is very clean and well laid out. I agree with the blog comment. IMO I would have less of the text at the top of the page when you click a featured area, perhaps put the "read more" closer to the top after a small intro so the homes are further at the top of the screen, and the majority of the text below, just a thought.

Looks great!

Pretty neat and easy to navigate.

One potential issue: When you put your email address in plain text or in a mailto: link, spammers will scrape the site and harvest it, and will sell it to other spammers. It may make contacting you a little easier for users, but it will also result in lots of incoming spam over time. I put my email address and phone number in the header as a graphic, and encourage users to use the "Contact" menu.

Thank all of you for your thoughts. I have given them consideration and will repost for a website review once I have my new blog menu created.
