I am new at this optimizing thing. Lately, I just came across a discussion from two months ago here about l-i-z h-o-m-e-s. Lots of you said she stole contents and did bad links. Guess what, she is winning. She is #2 in Chicago Real Estate keyword in Yahoo with a google rank of 4.

I'm surprised neither SE has caught onto her hidden text & links at the bottom of her homepage. I mean, that's just blatant SE spamming.

The only thing you can do is keep reporting the abuse every few days. I did so in my market for over 50 days and finally got a site off of Google. Keep at it

You can report her at Google and Yahoo with the forms, MSN the only thing I can find is to use the "Didn't get the results you expected? Help us improve." a the bottom of every search. Click on Help us improve and voice your opinion.

This site has hidden text and link on every page of her site. Worse many of the pages that rank have no content on them except for the hidden text and her nav links. BTW, my site is the one that she stole from.

Let's start an anti-spam website force

as i posted on the other thread she content copied from everyone and i could not find original content. main three sites she has copied content from is msn, mortgages101.com and the chicago tribune website. i suggest going through her content more thoroughly and e-mailing everyone she is copying content from. reporting the hidden text and links should help as well.

One of the reasons why she is so high is because she does have over 1600 backlinks listed in Yahoo. Which isn't too shabby. However I noticed it looks like she is also doing a re-direct from another domain (placeforus.com) although she may be doing that right, i didn't check too closely as I was looking for more blatant stuff.

Don't worry about it Mert, in the end she will be taken down - spammers usually are, but either way, I can take her down

Just as an update on the website... The webmaster changed tactics. I am HTML tactic ignorant, but you can't select or highlight the optimization text hidden at the bottom of the webpages anymore but it is in the source code. I don't know how they are doing it but Yahoo and Google still have not caught onto them. Truly annoying and pretty clever if you ask me. She is killing us in terms of side neighborhood positioning and still number 2 in yahoo for Chicago Real Estate. Does that tactic actually work?

it works until you get caught, (Sometimes) but it will never be able to compete with best practices.
