Does anyone know how to lock my content and pictures from being copied?

Don't put them on the internet?
... but seriously - there really is not a way to stop them from stealing your content and pictures. Some use a Javascript "No Right Click" that gives them a warning to not steal your content. I suggest asking about this outside of the Customer Support forums. Then once you have an idea of how you will attempt to prevent them - post a work order and we'll give you an estimate. Thank you, |

Aaron thank you for your reply, but I have gone to other websites and when they go to right click it it says thank you for visiting or like you said warning copyrighted material. Does anyone know how to do this?

I don't know that, but I do know you can sign up with copyscape.com and for $5 per month they will send you email alerts if they find content that is remarkably similar to yours. I don't subscribe, but I have used their free service.
good luck!

The right click trick will only stop people who ardent that bright, it is very easy to steal anything you see online. The general rule of thumb is - if I can see it on my screen I can take it (not legally of course).
There is one trick I used in the past which is pretty cool but lost the code I used. Lets say you have a 600x400 photo that you took and you do no want anyone taking, you make a transparent background image that is also 600x400 and you lay it over your photo. You see your photo just the same but when someone right clicks to copy the image and save it, it will save nothing but a little tiny box the size of a pencil tip. It is a pretty cool trick especially for people who right click and save and don't even bother to check if the save worked, they usually go back later in the day to open up the file and then they find they have nothing. I am sure tech support on here would know how to do it. (the transparent thing). Even with that it is still easy to get around it but it is your best option right now.

In actuality, these methods work only for those that don't know other methods.
Someone with the know how can get anything on any page. There are several ways to get all content from a webpage (which I won't post for obvious reasons), right clicking is but one very old way but there is a much easier method anyone can use.

Exactly my point Jessie and I prefer the transparent image and not disabling the right click because if you do disable the right click then a smart person will do the other method you and I know about.
If they are able to right click and save, as I said they often do not go and check to see if the flle downloaded ok because they have no reason to suspect any problems and by the time they do they probably forgot the address to your web site and found some others to copy from as well.
