GA is free and provides a lot of information.
While I have not used Web-Stat I have tried several other free programs and currently only use GA, Urchin, and hittail.com

Some Web-Stat review, you can search for more in Google.
This service may not be a good choice for high traffic sites, since it stops reporting should you go over your page limit and only supports 20,000 page views per day.

It seems like google analytic always show way less traffic than for example Webalizer. I'm not sure if google analytic misses some traffic or actually is more precise but I sure rather look at my webalizer stats than google analytic.
