Hello,
I had my site (http://www.mississauga-realestate.com) for a few months now. It ranks very well (number 1 or 2) for a few different keywords on Yahoo and MSN. I can not however figure out Google. I could only find one of my keywords in Google, and that was on page 3. Any suggestions, or comments would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure there are people out there who had similar experiences with MSN and Yahoo and nothing with Google. How did you overcome that problem. What worked for you with Google? Martin. |

Martin,
Google is much more link dependant than msn or yahoo, also it takes a lot longer to rank 6-12 months. I looked at your backlinks and most of them are from sites that are not relevant to real estate (A skiing site, a wigs site etc) you need to exchange relevant links with real estate agents in your area or nationally, get your keywords as the anchor text and point it to the most relevant pages. Give it time, make sure your content is unique and helpful and that your links, titles and page content match. On a side note, who did your site, I kind of like it ![]()

Marty,
I was in the same boat as you before I started visiting this forum. Just take some time to read the posts here (particularly ones relating to the Google "sandbox theory") and feel free to ask any questions you have. The people here are not only very knowledgeable, but they're more than willing to help. Good Luck Oh yeah, check out this seo tutorial. |

Hey, Martin, I am in a very similar spot. I rank decently good on the first page for some secondary (make that very secondary) KW's in Google, but all of my main KW's are going slowly down from the second page to the third page and lower.... And they have MANY very relevant links... It's a mystery to me.. but hey, I guess thats what google wants....lol
anyhow, If you get the secret to google's plan to keep my on the second and third page, do me a favor andf let me know... ![]()
