Talking Working with an Advanced Access site

Hey guys, I know there are mixed feelings about advanced access sites, however this thread is not meant to discuss them. I have someone who is interested in hiring me for SEO and he is an advanced access site, I am wondering if those of you with an advanced access site or those from advanced access, can fill me in on whether I can have complete access to the onpage code of the website, or whether I only have certain editable regions and cant play with filenames etc.

I really dont want to have to redesign the site if I can help it, every time an AA site comes along, but for my SEO to be done right it needs to have access to all root files and naming conventions etc.

I do realize that many advanced access sites have great rankings so I'm not saying that it cant be done, its just I have a comfort level and a certain subset of techniques and I need them to be able to gel with the AA template sites.

Any comments are appreciated

First off... what type of site is it? We have several different programs from throughout the years... The easiest way to tell is, if there is a small image of a 'lock' on the bottom right side of the page.

The ones that have a lock on the side and those types of sites you do not have the capabilities to have FTP access or renaming the pages.

Onpage codes... when you are creating new pages you have full access to change the code through our PageManager system...

Seeing the type of stuff you are doing, I don't think the AA virtual office of the Classic 3.0 would fit into your comfort level and techniques that you use. JMO

You can always login and see how it works and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

AA sites are fairly easy to customize. I've had great luck with ours--- http://www.lvrealty.net we are ranking in the top ten for several key word phrases on google for several months.

Default Advanced Access site

We also have an Advanced Access site:
http://www.lacanadarealestate.com

The support is fantastic - the site is easy to use. Our guess is that most realtors don't do much with their sites, and that's fine. As your knowledge of websites, search engines and placement grows, nearly all sites would have limitations. It just depends on how far you want to go.

And congrats to that AA client for realizing that it's important to work IN real estate. Hiring a professional is a good idea if that's the direction you want to take for your website and your internet presence. After all, we ask the public to hire us as professionals for real estate. So, why not hire a professional for SEO work. Unless, of course, after a full day of real estate, you want to put in a full day of SEO work on your site!

Smile What about linking to AA sites

Hi Guys

I have a question for you about AA sites and templates sites in general. I keep reading that exchanging links with template sites and framed sites isn't worth doing because I'm told that for the most part the search engines only search the index page. Is this right ?
