This is a stat that I have been tracking for the last six months and two of the things that has helped me get my short term visitors down around 50% is to really focus my ppc and to ifame my mls into my site.
When I did not have my negative words up on the pay per click I had similar numbers to your site. I paused the campains for 2 months and focused on the onsite content. With no ppc I was at 35-45% of the visitors under 5 minutes, but my unique visitors dropped by about 20%. I recently reworked the ppc campains and I am now around 50%, with most days under 50%. I also made sure the landing page of the ppc campain was what the prospect is looking for. Ie if I am offering mls access then they land on my mls page. One great side effect of a more focused campain is that I am getting more valid email addresses AND better contact info from these prospects.

I look at AWSTATS every day. Great tool in my opinion!

My durations end up like this: 0s-30s - 75.9 % 30s-2mn - 7.1 % 2mn-5mn - 3.6 % 5mn-15mn - 5 % 15mn-30mn - 3.2 % 30mn-1h - 3.2 % 1h+ - 1.7 % But I think it's because everyone contacts me within the first 30 seconds of seeing my great site! LMAO ![]()

Here is a dumb question,I have heard yes and no's. Does site visit duration improve web stats or just the actual hit it self?

I know this is an old thread but I am interested in seeing more stats from other Realtors. Does anyone care to share their Awstats?
0s-30s - 58 % 30s-2mn - 11.1 % 2mn-5mn - 8 % 5mn-15mn - 9.8 % 15mn-30mn - 5.4 % 30mn-1h - 4.8 % 1h+ - 2.5 % My new IDX has improved these number however my form submissions have dropped off. That is why I am adding a registration. It makes me believe those of you who do not have a great IDX or property search system can still generate good leads if you have traffic. I guess visitors hit a site, spend some time searching, can't find what they are looking for so they say "screw it! Let me contact this guy for more help" and then you get a lead. Otherwise, they search your site find everything they need and then don't contact you because they don't need your immediate help. Not sure if this happens but it sounds good in theory. ![]() |
